So today I got a call from Apple saying they want to give me an interview!
So I’ve decided to try a vegan diet for 30 days. Mainly because my girlfriend is doing it for herself and I’m just joining in.
Now I don’t think I’ll stick to it to be honest. I love dairy and meat too much to be strict about it. I’m simply more or less helping my girlfriend to eat all the food she makes.
Well, wish us the best of luck!
To start off with what’s new, well one major one sticks out. That would be that I work as an independant contractor for a company by the name of Vector Marketing Corp. I market and sell kitchen cutlery to people whom I know personally, and from then on get recommended to people they know. I’m of course given permission to reach everyone I market to. My job doesn’t allow cold calling, door to door sales, or anything else like that.
Another thing is that I have applied at a Company who has a their foot in the door and I’ve always dreamed of working there. That company would be Apple. They have the best products for the best value on the market. Now some people find that debatable, however I disagree. Apple is an amazing product to produce music, photoshop awesome pictures, write a novel, or hell, your essay that’s due in two weeks!
Anyways, I’m VERY excited to hear back from Apple and so that’ll be a fun update to see where that road takes me. I couldn’t imagine a more fun job, new experience, and AMAZING environment to work in!
That’s it for updates for now, but I’ll try my best to remember to post more!
So I got the iPhone 4 yesterday as an early birthday present. I’ve got to say it’s rather amazing. That’s all I’m going to say so far.
A week or so after my appointments I passed my first stone. Collected it via strained and it’s in a medical vial to be studied. It will be studied to find what it’s made of. The testing is to be done to study as to why a 17 year old like myself has a kidney stone.
I’m unaware if the second stone on my left side passed or not yet. I haven’t been straining my urine, although I haven’t needed to. My assumption is that I’ve passed it as I feel no pain at the moment, nor have I for quite awhile.
Tomorrow (April 28th, 2010) I have two appointments. The first is an ultrasound for my baby (Kidney stones). The second appointment is just a follow up with the urologist.
Note: I’ll edit this post after my appointments for more information.
I wake up Monday, April 5th at 9 in the morning to some excruciating pain in my back on the left side. I go out to the kitchen by my mom. I bitch and moan a bit about the pain I’m in and finally ask my mom to call me in and take me to the doctor. I wait another hour and a half until my appointment in some agonizing pain. We get to the doctor and I give a piss test. While waiting for that result, I lie on the patient bed where I have the nurse come in and tell me that I need an IV, some pain-relief injections, and a blood vial for blood work. My left butt cheek gets a pain-relief injection which didn’t hurt (Minus the surprise factor that I wasn’t told when they were going to do it). My right butt cheek gets a much more painful injection to help fight against nausea. After the piss test, they find I have blood in my urine. After the blood work, they find I have an elevated amount of white blood cells. They’re conclusion at this time is that I have a kidney infection.
The doctor’s office schedule’s me for an appointment over at the UW Madison Clinic on the corner of Park St and Regent. After waiting longer than I should have (They were 15-20 mins late to their own appointment) I’m pulled in for a CT Scan of my pelvis/abdominal area. This takes a simple 15 mins to do and then I head home.
At home we get a call to go to the pharmacy to get some medication for what the clinic found. I have a kidney stone just about to pass into my bladder from my left kidney. I didn’t pass it at all that night. I wake up around 2:20AM, take some more vicodine and head back to sleep where I lie in bed in pain until 4 AM (The vicodine isn’t very strong, or at least wasn’t strong enough for what I needed it to be).
Next day comes around (Tuesday, April 6th 2010) and I have a urology appointment at 11:15AM. I get to the hospital and I go through basic questioning about med allergies and etc. I then have an x-ray done on my abdomen/pelvic area again. The results from that show that I have another kidney stone in my right kidney, and a possible 3rd kidney stone. After a long discussion with the urologist, we came to the conclusion that if I don’t pass the stone tonight, I’m to get it surgically have it removed if I vomit or feel extensive pain on my vocodine.
Current Med List as of April 6th, 2010 at 3:05pm:
- Vicodine – Pain Relief
- Some Steroid – Helps reduce inflamation of kindeys and my tubes so the stone can get through easier.
- Flomax – Helps urination.
- Some stool softener
- Antibiotic – To help my kidney infection

So I just heard some good news that I just got enrolled into flash and photoshop classes over at Madison Area Technical College! I’ll be learning the ropes of flash and photoshop starting in March. I’m excited as I’ve tried to learn them on my own and it just didn’t work for me.
I was on the wait list and a few people dropped the classes and didn’t want them so I got both classes. I pay enrollment in March/April.
Edit: Enrollment has been payed and textbooks bought.
It’s been awhile since I’ve posted anything.
So I’ve been doing quite the bit of work on ELGN locally here in Wisconsin. I’ll be posting a blog post on that soon enough up on ELGN’s blog of what’s new and what’s to come. That’s really all for now however I’ll get back into writing blog posts more often.
One notable thing that’s new in my life is my girlfriend. She’s the definition to the sense of the word “amazing”. I’ll give more info on how amazing she is later. For now, I’ve got some sleep to catch up on.
Testing out a new Mac blogging program called Blogo. Just a demo but depending on how I like the software, I may buy it or put it on my wishlist. :]
So far so good as it’s a simple user interface. Straight to the point. A dropbox for picture uploads, the option for rich/HTML text editing.
With that little info, I’ll have to post this blog post as I’ve not finished learning about this application. I’ll edit this post (If I remember) when I learn more.
